Wilson Confident He’ll Be Giants’ Starter in 2025 Season

Russell Wilson has joined the New York Giants with a clear expectation: to be the starting quarterback. This comes despite a crowded quarterback room that includes Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito, and the potential addition of a rookie in the upcoming draft.

The Giants signed Wilson to a one-year deal, shortly after bringing in Winston on a two-year contract. Wilson, a Super Bowl winner and 10-time Pro Bowler, represents a significant upgrade for a team that struggled immensely in the 2024 season.

“I expect to be the starter and come in here and be ready to rock and roll every day,” Wilson stated, emphasizing his intent to lead the team.

“They learn from you. They see how you work. See your practice habits and mental habits, how you go about it, and your approach every day,” he explained.
